ELVE SA (”ELBE:ATH” on the Athens Stock Exchange) is a European group headquartered in Greece and specialized in the trade of uniforms, working clothes and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as well as the production of electricity through renewable energy.

For over 50 years, ELVE has not only owned its own brand and line of products, but has also been procuring ready-made garments and accessories to leading public and private institutions all over Europe (such as the Louvre Museum, the Greek , German and Cyprus Army, the Greek & German Police, the Deutsche-Bahn, etc.).

ELVE has decided to diversify its business scope by acquiring its own solar panels park and investing more and more in renewable energy.

ABOUT US

ELVE SA was transformed into Societe Anonyme in 1987 and was the first company in the field of clothing to enter the Athens Stock Exchange in 1995.

The company ELVE LLC. was founded in 1971. ELVE SA became a Société Anonyme in 1987 and the first company in the field of clothing to enter the Athens Stock Exchange in 1995.

ELVE LLC. started by offering Make to Order (MTO) clothing services. The company grew into producing and owning its own branded clothes, collections of Greek and international design such as ARTE MAXIMA by Makis Tselios, OAKS by Liana Camba, My Way by Anja Seidl, Verdosa by Daphne Valente and O.K.S by Nicole Simard, in 320 points of sale in Greece.

Ιn 1993, the company started various productions of tailored staff uniforms for companies who want to promote their business identity, such as banks, department stores and airlines.

ELVE was among the largest and most profitable producers of ready-made garments in Greece and in 1996 the President and CEO of ELVE, Tilemachos Kitsikopoulos, was awarded the KOUROS award, distinction for his performance in the international financial field.

In 1999, ELVE acquired 51% of the shares of CALIN SA, importer of the brands CALZEDONIA and INTIMISSIMI in Greece and in 2002, ELVE acquired 28% of the shares of the company LITO SA, a chain of children’s products stores.

In 1996 the President and CEO of ELVE, Tilemachos Kitsikopoulos, was awarded the KOUROS award, distinction for his performance in the international financial field.

In 1999, ELVE acquired 51% of the shares of CALIN SA, importer of the brands CALZEDONIA and INTIMISSIMI in Greece and in 2002, ELVE acquired 28% of the shares of the company LITO SA, a chain of children’s products stores.

Adapting to the needs of the market, the company shifted its main focus from ready-to-sell garments to custom-made supply of professional work clothes, with significant collaborations such as covering the needs for the Olympic Games Committee “ATHENS 2004” and the whole personnel of the Louvre museum in France.

From 2011 onwards, ELVE has been investing dynamically in the field of renewable energy sources, and in 2012 acquired ECOJOULE.
By 2013, ELVE group had a revenue of 60.7M EUR, employing 487 people. ELVE sold 51% of CALIN SA in 2014.

Aiming to become a pioneer in the clothing industry with a main focus on workwear, in 2015 ELVE collaborated with the Nanotechnology Laboratories of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to produce innovative SMART clothing.
Since 2015, ELVE has been investing in renewable energy sources (RES), accumulating a total of 5.2MW of solar power in numerous locations across Greece.

As of 2022, ELVE is now procuring uniforms, working clothes and personal protective equipment to multiple public and private leading institutions such as the Greek & German Police, Army, the Deutsche Bahn, electricity and oil companies, etc.

2021: ELVE opens its e-shop to sell B2C articles for police, army, workers and others.

At ELVE, we do not only actively invest in sustainable development activities., we also believe in the importance of a company’s social responsibility and long-term commitment.

Because quality is our priority, our materials are chosen with the outmost care, our products are free of any harmful substances (when applicable, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified) and our manufacturing partners hold numerous accreditations proving their social and eco-engagement.

While placing our employee’s safety and health at heart (ISO 45001:2015 certified), we ensure that everyone follows all of our eco-responsible guidelines such as the recycling of paper and fabric. ELVE’s ISO/IEC 27001 certificate also validates that adequate and proportionate security controls are set within the company to safeguard information and intellectual property assets.

Certified ISO 9001 & ISO 14001:2015, ELVE does not only demonstrates its social and ecological pledge through its quality and environmental management systems accreditations or numerous investments in renewable energies, but through concrete & regular caritative initiatives:

Over the last years, ELVE has donated clothes to the refugees center in Kavala, fabrics to local theatre and to dog shelters for the making of blankets and beds, and even procured Greek governmental institutions, hospitals, companies, retirement homes and some other local organizations with medical masks and coveralls against the COVID pandemic.
